Description
The PHS 30 NIS is a rod end consisting of a housing with an integral shank and a spherical plain bearing, which is made up of inner and outer rings without rolling elements.
Rod ends are commonly mounted on the ends of hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders and are also used to connect two shafts. They can accommodate misalignment and support radial loads in both tensile and compressive directions.
This model features a steel-on-bronze sliding contact, where the steel inner ring runs against the bronze surface of the outer ring. This combination provides excellent wear resistance and low friction, although its load capacity is slightly lower than that of steel-on-steel types.
The PHS30 NIS is highly rigid and offers superior resistance to abrasion and corrosion. It is equipped with a grease nipple on the housing, allowing the correct amount of lubricant to be supplied directly to the sliding surface.
Regular maintenance and proper lubrication are essential to reduce friction, prevent contamination, and protect against corrosion, ensuring long service life.
