Gates PowerGrip GT4 is a next-generation high-torque synchronous belt developed with advanced ethylene elastomer construction. This belt is manufactured using entirely new advanced materials, which enhance chemical resistance, reduce heat-related degradation, and significantly extend service life. It is ideally suited for high-performance power transmission systems in machine tool, paper, and textile industries, as well as general industrial applications that require high reliability and low maintenance—from heavy manufacturing and automated production to custom assembly operations.
The belt is reinforced with fiberglass tensile cords, providing high strength, excellent resistance to flex fatigue, and outstanding resistance to elongation. A nylon tooth facing improves wear resistance, while the optimized GT tooth profile increases power transmission efficiency and is fully compatible with HTD profile pulleys.
Gates PowerGrip GT4 is designed to operate efficiently in both low- and high-temperature environments without the need for lubrication and with minimal re-tensioning. This significantly reduces total maintenance costs over the belt’s lifetime. In addition, it is static-conductive in accordance with ISO 9563 and suitable for use in environments covered by Directive 2014/34/EU-ATEX.
